![]() ![]() ![]() We provide 40 hours per week on-site nursing services and over 80 hours per week of on-site mental health services. While here, individuals are provided a variety of services. Staff assist in providing on-site mental health services, structure and support. Individuals staying at the facility enjoy their own private bedroom, laundry facilities, Internet access and much more. The length of stay at Juniper Ridge is typically four to eight months. Opened in December of 2020, it serves both men and women all across the state, providing a safe and secure environment for those individuals referred for secure residential treatment. Juniper Ridge is a twelve-bed secure residential treatment facility that overlooks the community of John Day, Oregon. Much of the trail along the open ridge top takes you through an area that burned in 1902 and again in 1918, resulting in the beautiful meadows along the ridge today. Forest Road 2324 and the Sunrise Trail #262 are good ways to get to the high open ridge tops. The trail ends near Dark Meadows at Boundary Trail #1. The trail skirts Juniper Peak, Sunrise Peak and Jumbo Peak. The trail follows the ridgeline for 4.5 miles to the base of Sunrise Peak, then drops down to a meadow and pond, before climbing back to the ridge. Juniper Ridge Trail offers an excellent opportunity for a backpacking trip, complete with views or shorter day hikes from the ridge.įrom the trailhead on Forest Road 2904, the trail climbs the first 2 miles through small conifers with views between trees. This trail is open to motorcycles, hikers, horses and bicycles. ![]()
